I was sick of rss feeds.
I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way about it. You read an article, subscribe to the blog and continue to receive updates each time a new article is written. Every time you open your feed reader, you see that number of unread items. It could be a small number or rather large. Whatever the number, you skim through titles and/or short descriptions hoping something will catch your interest and you will continue to read the complete article.
Ask yourself this: how many of those articles are relevant to you? I’d bet only 1/4 of those articles (if that) are worth reading and the rest is just stuff that doesn’t really matter. At least, that’s how my experience has been. Now, instead of reading feeds I’ll go to a select few sites where I know I’ll find the information I want to read.
With that in mind, DevelopingDeveloper.com was born. I wanted to help other developers, in the same predicament as me, to find useful, relative and current information in one place without having to waste time searching for it. Instead, I’ll be filtering what I read and posting the stuff I found valuable and informative or what I think would be helpful to others.
I hope you find this a valuable resource! If you’d like to submit a link or have a suggestion, feel free to send me an email.
